Monroe Center's and Davis Junction's Community Resource

Community Meal at Union Curch

Established in 1915, Union Church is a worship center first and foremost. But it has also evolved into a warm and welcoming community resource. As an outreach to the community, its members have generously offered the church facility as a gathering place for other groups. Groups currently meeting in the church include the Mighty Clovers 4-H Club and the Monroe Center Lions Club.

Rockford Hike for Life

Union Church is mission-minded, supporting both local and global Christian endeavors. Locally it gives financial support and members' volunteer time to the Rockford Area Pregnancy Care Center (RAPCC) and the Rockford Rescue Mission. Church members staff the Pioneer Club program, offered each Wednesday during the school year for children of the Monroe Center community.

Missionary Presentation

Union Church is a giving church. The congregation supports missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators, the Midwest Indian Mission, Send International and Jews for Jesus. In addition Union Church contributes regularly to Child Evangelism Fellowship, World Relief, and the work of The Gideons International.

Men's Breakfast

The Men's Breakfast takes place each month, usually on the second Saturday, at 8:30 a.m. (Watch the events schedule on the Home Page.) This is an unstructured time for fellowship and conversation for men of the community. Breakfast is free (optional donation) and there's always plenty of scrambled eggs, biscuits and coffee. Just come — no need to RSVP!
